The photos can’t convey the great day I just had. At last, back on the Charlemont 60 acres, hike plan finally all set, the sun came out and we had one gorgeous day and one memorable hike. The conviviality of the group is to be treasured. So too, the return to the Charlemont land. We hiked for 4 hours!!! It was just that interesting. My photos don’t show it all, it because I was too caught up in the moment to record it well.

The long amazing view isn’t from our old property, but I’ve got easy access to it through the trail. It’s the very top pasture of the the Warfield Farm. We sat there in the sun and enjoyed our bag lunches. The dogs enjoyed our lunches too! It’s a mimi Switzerland kind of place.
Back in the woods, we took a beautiful trail through our old property where the rock outcroppings are really noteworthy. Then back on the old hayfield that I think a lot of you will recognize from sledding days! Back in our cars after coffee and gingerbread, oatmeal cookies and clementines at Madge’s house. A perfect, perfect day. And to think that we had expected rain! Much love to all of you, Penny
