Hiking along the Mill River today we spotted a teepee across the river on a nice little (waterfront !) clearing with a small wood shed, and a table- like structure (foreground of photo) where food could be kept. Throwing a tarp over the A frame of the table would ensure keeping bears out (right?). The Teepee looks like it could sleep 6.
There’s also an outdoor dining area with a long table big enough to accommodate all of us,and with plenty of chairs if you dig far enough down in the snow to find them.
If some of you prefer fancier accommodations than the teepee, there’s a lodge, presently very vacant, with interesting vines growing inside the windows. We won’t need key. So, unless you insist on the Red Roof, I’m pretty sure I can get you into the Mill River set up. But don’t delay making your reservation with me NOW! Penny
