Up, up, we went on the strenuous Busby Trail. It’s one of our favoritie hikes and we are mighty happy we can all still do it. The view from the top is wonderful, but the wind kept us from brown bagging it up there. Alas, I have lost a lot of the photos I wanted to send, but lunch was sheltered and fun. The way down (it’s a loop trail) is long and winding, and VERY rocky. We hiked for about 5 hours. At the end of the trail we celebrated Conrad’s 70th birthday but I’ve lost the photo of him in his birch bark crown. Conrad got a chocolate cupcake with maple frosting and a candle, and the whole gang got chocolate chip cookies that Tom had made. A very perfect day of hiking and with dear friends.
