Is it possible to have too much fun? We might have had just that today. It’s gotten late, and I’m hungry so this won’t be much of a narrative. Blueberry picking happened. Yum Yum, Narrow rock strewn trails had us all thinking of Chip and his many many many days out on them. He will always be our hero and we will meet up with him on the AT in MA. The typical New England stone walls had a rather casual look of construction today. Interesting! We posed at an outlook and silliness got a foothold. Conrad took out a huge hanging tree and we hiked on with confidence! And Sukee got to drink and swim in several ponds. Then!!!! Conrad set to making “music” by blowing a piece of grass between his thumbs (most of you will remember how to do this). It escalated into pure hilarity as the group joined him. I think a video may have slipped into the report. I found a tiny Monarch caterpillar on the back side of a milkweed leaf!!!!! Then Lynn threw up the pointed end of a fern and we decided to go in the direction in which it pointed. Fortunately it pointed to the trail and … here I am,safely at home. Love and good health to all, Penny (Oh well, it’s a longer narrative than I had anticipated:)
