Thursday Hikers

Est. 2013

10/8/20 – Charlemont MA

This week’s hike started out along beautiful fast flowing Rice Brook followed by the long hike up to high meadows with peaceful views of the mountains to the southeast, Berkshire East ski resort, and Warfield House resort. Only 5 of us made this week’s hike because of the destructive storm that had hit the Conway area on Wednesday. (All major roads to Greenfield were closed and power was out all over town.) After slowly enjoying our bag lunches and the peaceful view, we headed back down partly through some of the land I still own up there. It was 4.1 mile hike and a particularly pleasant fall day. Back in Conway, power is still being restored. Here are linemen working at Tony’s place yesterday, but he’s still without power today. October is a month filled with so many good things (excepting powerful storms). Best, Penny {CAPTION}
