Thursday Hikers

Est. 2013

12/30/21 – Conway State Forest, Conway MA

Last hike of this year! So we were in high spirits and just had a wonderful day full of fun. The roads and trails were so miserable that we just got carried away with nonsense. A few finds: a bit of bark that resembled a nose ….several curious pieces of birch bark….got us going. Nothing like having fun when you’re out with your wet feet and some of your very best friends!! We stopped to visit the Maynard family cemetery (an historical site featured on Conway’s 250th celebration a few years ago) and thought of those early and brave pioneers that settled our good town of Conway. And at last we ate our brown bag lunches with a good view and popcorn that Donna shared as another (possibly our 410th?) Thursday hike came to its end. The days are getting longer and a new year is ready for all of us to make a positive difference in it. Happy New Year and remember to keep your feet dry, With love from Penny {CAPTION}
