Thursday Hikers

Est. 2013

2/24/22 – Greenberg Conservation area, Westhampton MA

Good trails along beautiful Sodom Brook, temperature hovering at 25 with that tight cold feel in the air of the snow that’s predicted for tonight. There was an unusual “mnii glacier” (so named by us) that captured our imaginations but was far too slippery for investigation. Some new educational signage was appreciated, as was the collaboration between the Kestrel Land Trust, Trout Unlimited, and the good old Girl Scouts!! We hiked for about two hours then settled down in the “gathering circle” for our bag lunches and a hilarious round of Charades. It’s at the gathering circle that Claudia and Paulie once put on rousing musical show. I hope these photos will inspire them to put on another. Good dog Annie’s feet were so cold that she got to wear my gloves for a while. To all of you Winter Campers: Hip Hip Hooray! Thaks for such a wonderful time together. Lots of love, Penny
