RAIN! We’re so used to it, what with Conway MA having had the highest July rainfall total in the US, Canada and Puerto RIco (21.42 inches) that we just plod on. Nice hike today at Briar Hill, a place we haven’t hiked before. At the top of the trail there’s a lovely long view. We took our photo in front of that view EVEN THOUGH the view was totally blocked by clouds and a light rainfall. There were lots of Red Efts on the trails as well as many interesting fungi. Heres a photo of what might be Bird’s Nest fungus or perhaps it’s a Cup fungus. I bet Phil and Ellie can help me with that one. In the meantime, I’ll look it up. Maybe you will oo.
