How was it possible to have so much fun given such cheerless weather and trail conditions? The trails were uneven, colorless, icy, and with a lot of big trees that had been blown down by winter winds. Not a single ray of sunshine was there to cheer things up along those 3.1 miles of trails. We climbed over a lot of downed trees with energy sparked by years of friendship and fun. And we held on to hopes that Spring might arrive sometime really soon! And we laughed – a LOT!
We ended the hike with a visit to the “Pebble”: a glacier erratic that’s like an old friend for us. Then off to Country Pie Pizza for veggie wraps. pizza slices and endless glasses ice water. Here’s hoping that all is happy and well with you, and please report any signs of Spring you happen to to see. Penny
