Because of my mossy green jacket, I got to pose solo at the falls in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! Luck of the Irish was working for me I guess. This is a beautiful place that I wish you all could see. Photos don’t capture it. We took the lower trail that eventually goes across some railroad tracks (my thoughts were of us kids crossing the tracks – and staying alive! – every day on our way to school). Some wonderful woodsy trails led to Cranberry Pond where we stopped and played for a while. I caught good dog Cash nosing around in an old tree stump and then, voila!, I found the first of the spring flower leaves: Hepatica!! Maybe it will be in bloom in a week or so. Then off to Cushman’s Market for sandwiches. I had the Vegan “Primrose” a concoction of vegan “bacon”, vegan “cheese”, spinach and a tomato.. Pretty good! I really hope that you all have a celebratory St.Patrick’s Day. Slainte! Penny
