Oh the wind and the cold! but once into the woods, the wind doesn’t seem so fierce. We took a short 1.7 mile walk in the very pretty woods behind friend Gwen’s house. Gwen, once an AMC hiker and full of knowledge of trails in our area, has had some serious health setbacks. We took an easy, pleasant jaunt with her today. The land boasts amazing stands of Mountain Laurel – it’s wonderful when they’re blooming in Spring. Bag lunches at Gwen’s house and a full of fun shared birthday celebration for both Gwen and myself as well as hearing Deb tell about her very recent trip to Morocco. We remembered the big April Fools’s Day snowstorm a few years ago with fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again. Celebrate the Equinox, and hope for some signs of it Soon! Penny
