Deb and I had a really good time exploring with Mike, delightful new owner. The GayWings are dong fine, the Lady Slipper are more scattered about but looking good. Mike got to know Bluets. They were growing right in the woods with such a petty little white violet …a really tiny little thing. Border Collie Ozzie went with and he was good company too. Back at the house we hoped to spy some Bobolinks in the hayfield. Deb played the Bobolink song on Merlin and WOW did they respond. It was just all so grand to be there again….of course Tony’s presence was there too. That’s a very cropped photo of a Bobolink that sort of shows the yellow on the back of its head. We had thought about hiking there this Thursday but good pans are already in place. Let’s do it one of these days and with the idea of helping Mike out with someting!! There’s plenty that needs a helping hand.
