Halloween had us in high spirits for our hike at Bright Water Bog. The morning temperature quickly rose into the 70s and those with zip off pant options soon had cooler legs!.The large meadow that goes down to the lake is covered (beneath all the leaves) with Trailing Arbutus (“May Flower”) and we’ll return in May to see them in bloom. The hike up to the Overview is tricky and narrow and long! but we all made it up to the top, took a well deserved “time out” and then headed back down ….perhaps 40 minutes in all. It was grear fun!! It was a long hike and we were happy to get back to our lunch bags. Halloween treats for dessert -of course! Our friendship is so wonderful and we often express our thanks for it and we always rememvber Tony and Kit who left us ll too soon. Happy Halloween and Happy Birthday Charlie!!
