3/6/25 – Look Park, Florence MA

There we are, dwarfed by a Swamp Oak, and having another good day together at Look Park. We walked there because there is still so much ice and deep snow on the woodland trails. At Look Park we walk on plowed blacktop roads, all beautifully landscaped. We repeated a scenic loop 3 times and ended up walking 3.2 miles. Then off to lunch at the Snack Shack for sandwiches and ice water(!). I had the “California Turkey”: turkey slices,avacado,bacon, lettuce, red pepper,on great bread and with a tasty sauce. After the high wind and driven rain of last night though, the snow by my gardens is not so deep any more, although it’s still layered with thick inches of ice. We’re hoping that trail conditions improve over the coming week and we can get ourselves back into the woods. Keep looking for signs of Spring! For us it’s that the Red Winged Blackbirds have returned to (very snow covered) Conway! Stay hopeful!, Penny {CAPTION}
