The predicted rain held off and we had a fine day of hiking together. First 4 photos: Rattlesnake Plantain, many many many small Red Efts that we carefully avoided stepping on, a few Lady Slippers in bloom, and a dead tree that didn’t fall on any of us!! 2.4 very great miles of discoveries and great fun together. Then off to a campsite with a picnic table and Bob’s long promised whole turkey!! Others brought celery sticks, stuffing, chips, dips, 2 big salads, good bread, homemade cranberry sauce, cheese, cider, a delicious homemade pumpkin pie and a basket filled with wonderful homemade apple hand pies. And just to make things perfect, near the picnic table there was a very pretty clump of Clintonia in bloom! I’m thinking of you, and hope you had a great day too. Penny
