We’ve been going to this beautiful “top of the world” place for at least 13 years of low bush blueberry picking. Thoughts of Tony, Kit, and Gwen stayed with us as we spread out with our rakes in the peacefulness of the blueberry fields. Once again the yield was good and it seemed as if time had passed all l too quickly.
Back at the processing building we had the usual fun and nonsense as we sorted out leaves and twigs from our picking. We picked about 40pounds I think, less than we used to pick, but enough for what we all wanted for sharing.Then bag lunches with sharing of potato chips and cherries and lots of water at a picnic table beneath a big Beech tree.
A blueberry pie just out of the oven will bring warm memories when the snow is flying later on in December! With lots of hope! Penny
