Thursday Hikers

Est. 2013

10/16/25 – Bright Water Bog, Leverett, MA

A perfectly wonderful day with temperature in the 50s, breezy, and clear skies. Half of the hike was on quiet upland trails through beautiful forest and then we dropped down to the lake trails. About 2 miles in all. All these photos were taken once we got down to the waters. That’s Winter Berry and Cotton Grass along side the newly constructed wooden bog walkway. And lastly, hiker Tom mimicking the colors in a Red Maple down at the lake trail. Lunch at the Leverett Coop, where I had a hummus wrap and apple cider. Most of us will be walking in the Kings Day marches on Saturday. Stay safe and warm and hopeful and happy, Penny
