We had a long hike led by Gwen planned but the weather forecast was for snow changing to rain by 11 o’clock. Some common sense was mustered and we decided not to hike because it would not be fun getting drenched for the last hour and a half of the hike. Hiker friend Tony, myself (and Sukee of course) decided to walk the Pebble Trail at the Bullitt Reservation just for the fun of it. It was wonderful to be out walking in the first snowfall – a sure fire way to bring out the kid in yourself! Hunting season has started, so I got to wear my Oh! So attractive orange hat. I found a spider web/house all ready for Halloween I think. I am happy to NOT have met the home owner herself. I love the path that we left as we tramped over the snow on the leaves. The last 2 photos are taken at my house at 4:40 and it is still snowing. The plow has even been out. I think so far it’s about 2” but is supposed to change to rain, perhaps heavy rain, tonight. A rise in temperatures will give me time to finish all of the garden and yard work. Are you done with it yet?? You can get a hunter’s orange hat at any hardware. It’s highly recommended, and you will look adorable in it. Well, adorable or not, at least you won’t get shot. Love, Penny
