We’ve had days of raw weather so it was wonderful to have the sun shine on us for this great hike. The big field is cut twoce a year for hay and it’s a real joy to walk up it and then enter the woods. We think we found a Pad Orchid! We’ll check when it blooms next year to verify it. There was so much to see, to stop and explore and we just took our time and explored and had a wonderful time together. Bag lunches at our favorite Thursday Hike place – the views across to Berkshire East are quite breath taking. It’s a climb to get to that spot, and we celebrated being there once again. We share many good memories of being there together. On the way back down we always stop at the old grave site. I don’t know who might be buried there, but the grave is in the property deed, so we a;ways stop and take a quiet minute . I took a photo of the back of the old barns and house and thought about the days when we lived there. That’s it! I hope you’re all OK, especially Chip. (Now there’s a Hiker!) Love, Penny
