We had a wonderful day out “strolling” on Mt. Warner. It’s an easy hike, an hour and a half, so there was plenty of time for posing, fooling around in general, and being thankful to return to a place we love.
The view from a outlook is into the valley, with Mt. Sugarloaf, the Connecticut River, and Nancy’s house below. The apple orchard up there is well cared for and is expanding with a planting of young trees.
When you drop your glove, and discover you’ve dropped your glove, you turn around and keep walling until you find it. Sometimes it can be camouflaged by leaves frozen into ice as mine was today:)
Tony got atop a basalt glacial erratic and we all just slowed down and “Forest Bathed” for a spell. (Google “Forest Bathing:; give it a try.)
Back to the cars, and off to Hadley Sugar Shack where I had an awful meatball grinder. As they won’t be making pancakes until sugaring season, I thought the MB grinder sounded good, but I sure got that wrong! I hope you had a better lunch than I did today!
