Thursday Hikers

Est. 2013

10/22/20 – Buffam Falls Conservation Area, Pelham MA

This is an incredibly beautiful place! I think I was so taken with it that I forgot to get many photos. I’d never been to Buffam Falls but will surely return. (With you, I hope!) After nearly two hours of hiking we found the perfect lunch spot overlooking a reservoir. From that reservoir, the wide and fast flowing Amethyst Brook runs downstream until it meets Buffam Brook. Oh it was just wonderful! Waterfalls and water running fast over the wide rock strewn brooks making music all the way and colorful leaves racing along or just getting stuck on the rocks. For those of you who know Tony, he’s still able to hike but had to put on his neck brace to ease the pain he’s still having. But hike he must! He’s rather a pillar of the Thursday hikes for all of us. We came upon an “Andy Goldsworthy” sort of stone creation that invited us to add stones to it and so we did. A very wonderful day it was. I hope you had a wonderful day too. Love, Penny {CAPTION}
