Top of the Morning to you! Cold and damp hike, but with high spirits. 2.9 miles of beautiful late winter forest. Couldn’t resist another photo of Witch’s Butter. And there I am wearing my Irish sweater that Ellie gave to me, posing on a big old mossy green rock. Crustose lichen/happy polka dots on a tree trunk. Beautiful terrain, wonderful waters. Bag lunches in the sweet gazebo at Bullitt headquarters. It had just started to rain so a roof over our heads was very welcome. Let’s hope for the end of the unspeakable war in Ukraine. As I hiked, I thought of my peers who were walking to Poland with all of their belongings in a sack. XO Penny
