Thursday Hikers

Est. 2013

10/26/23 – Briar Hill, Williamsburg MA

With temperatures in the upper 60s and full sun lighting up the colors of the forest canopy, this was a day that we didn’t want to end. Narrow trails and moderate climbs to a wonderful long view of the mountains beyond. I had my picture taken while stopping on a wonderful bit of old stone wall.When we had finished the hike we really wanted to keep going so walked up a road for a while until we came to a huge beaver pond with salamanders swimming around in the shallows. Then off to Panda Restaurant (Bob’s choice!) for a Chinese lunch and the celebration of both Bob’s and Conrad’s birthdays. I made the “one bowl apple cake” recipe that Sue had given to me and there was not a crumb left in the cake pan. Thanks Sue, it was a hit! Two more wonderful weather days ahead and then a drop to November temperatures along with lots of rain. With so much to be thankful for, Love from Penny {CAPTION}
