Mikle and Michelle have given the Thursday hikers and open invitation to continue to hike Tony’s good trails. Today, with Mike and Michelle, we set out for the beaver pond in hopes that the Fringed Gentian would still be in bloom. Had we been a week earlier, the bloom wold have been spectacular, but today there were a few blossoms left at the bottom of their long stems. LOTS to wander around and find up there – even some orchids mixed in with the Gentians. 2 very happy hours out on those trails, lovely discoveries and good conversations. Bag lunches at the big picnic table where Mike joined us after picking up the two 4 year olds at preschool.(The other two children go to Conway Grammar Schoo.)! Too bad, but Michelle had to head inside for “virtual work”. We are so thankful for the warm welcome they have given to us . It’s a happy house and home once again! XO Penny
